Born on November 12, 2019, she is the distinguished daughter of RW SGC Maine Coon Kitten Hub Chrissie Hynde and RW OS SGC Maine Coon Kitten Hub Texas Calboy. Coming from a celebrated bloodline, Gypsy carries forward the legacy of her grandmother Joan Jett, who set an enduring standard of quality — one that Gypsy now upholds, with her daughter Stevie Nicks continuing the family tradition.
From the moment Gypsy stepped into the kitten class, her grace and charisma captivated judges and audiences alike. She quickly advanced through the ranks, earning prestigious titles including Champion, Grand Champion, Triple Grand Champion, Quadruple Grand Champion, Supreme Grand Champion, and Best of Breed among all registered Maine Coon Polydactyls.
Gypsy made breed history by becoming the first polydactyl Maine Coon to earn the coveted International Winner (IW) title, awarded to the top 25 registered cats worldwide, along with the Best of Breed (BW) title, an honor reserved for only one cat per breed each year. Considering that the Maine Coon standard traditionally favors males, Gypsy’s accomplishment represents an extraordinary milestone in feline history. Her recognition by The International Cat Association (TICA) — a globally respected registry and a member of the World Cat Congress — underscores the magnitude of her success.
Our journey with this majestic breed began in 2014 with Gypsy’s great-grandfather, Champion Myluckystars Caspian of Maine Coon Kitten Hub, who achieved championship status soon after Maine Coons were accepted into competition. By 2016, our breeding program had begun to flourish, with RW SGC Maine Coon Kitten Hub Chrissie Hynde earning a Regional Winner title in 2018–2019. Gypsy’s crowning moment came in 2021, when she was named International Winner and Best of Breed, marking one of the proudest milestones in our breeding history.
Beyond her accolades, Gypsy is full of life and personality. Known for her playful races up the stairs and her confident, loving nature, she perfectly embodies the charm of the polydactyl Maine Coon — intelligent, affectionate, and full of spirit. In 2019, he was honored as the **Best Maine Coon in TICA’s South Central Region**, further securing his place in history by also being named the **20th Best Cat** and the **6th Best Long Haired Cat** in the same region. Health is paramount in the world of breeding, and Calboy excels in this area as well. His echocardiogram displays a normal, healthy heart, and he hails from a lineage free of HCM, with all family members cleared through echocardiograms. Genetically, Calboy is clear for HCM, SMA, and PK deficiency.
As of February 27, 2025, Calboy has recently retired and is now enjoying a life filled with love at home.
